Obedience is better than sacrifice

Right now, God is calling me to an obedient lifestyle more than ever. "Just do what I ask." That is it. Life doesn't have to be hard or grueling. So this plays out in so many different areas. How I spend, how I eat, how I discipline (or don't discipline) my children, how I love and respect my husband, how I clean my house, how I spend my time and the list goes on. Is this just for me or is God calling us all to this new level of obedience. What is God asking of you? I am just curious.

seems like you are listing things that describe the flesh. He has been telling me to stop with all the flesh gratification and fill up on Him. I may be spirit filled, but I seem to be flesh dominated.

Yes, there are alot of flesh areas. But there are also areas like believing for big things. Doing crazy prophetic things. Taking steps into my destiny. I just believe those fleshly areas aree the big roadblock to that destiny.

This is exactly what God has been doing in us as well....Overall trusting Him to be the King, Believing what He says, and Doing what he asks. In a lot of ways, I feel his biggest request right now is to wait which is hard but I am not willing to be flesh dominated anymore so I am waiting. Also God is asking me for more of myself...more devotion, more relationship, more honesty, more intimacy...more trust. He is radically changing the way I look at others and calling me to more discipline in some areas of my life (food, reading, etc)...not out of legalism but out of whats best for me.

The tree of good and evil represented three things...1) the lust of our flesh 2) the lust of our eyes 3) pride of life. These three things tempted Adam/Eve to eat and he did! Funny how we are all getting those dang "apples" hung in front of our eyes like Eve had it done! The difference is...we are going to refuse the apple for the sake of CHRIST! But, YES, God is concencrating each one of us and teaching us to live only by the Spirit. I find it refreshing to know Jesus was a man with NO super abilities, He was a man with the restrictions we have, but He was completely obedient to the Holy Spirit and that is what set Him apart to bring Heaven down. Keep doing the crazy prophetic acts (and don't think how crazy it is...prophetic people don't care if they seem crazy because they know the power of what the act is doing in the spirit rehelm) and keep tuning your ears/eyes/body into the Spirit of God!!!!

As encouragement. I have done some pretty crazy stuff. Made me feel down right humble and soooo uncomfortable. Stuff I don't care to share. But I did it and the reward was worth it all. Usually if it is sooo uncomfortable it is God, because we only make up stuff that we know we can do.
